The grant program of the Knowledge and Freedom Foundation (FOKAL) has existed since its creation and allows it to finance, according to predefined themes, a set of non-profit projects carried out by individuals, associations, organizations, foundations, etc. All subsidized projects are aligned with FOKAL’s mission.

Sustainable Development

This category concerns projects designed for environmental protection and sustainable development. This includes:

  • Projects related to: reforestation; waste management; watershed protection; recycling; strengthening of peasant organizations; ecological agricultural and fishing initiatives; drinking water supply…
  • Education and training projects that bring innovative dynamics on a pedagogical, organizational, or technological level, and that take into account the environmental, economic, and social aspects of the territories and populations.

 

           

Documents to provide:

  • Proof of existence (ID card for the contact person, legal recognition for recognized institutions)
  • Proof of prior activities
  • The list of main participants in the project with a brief CV for the contact person
  • Estimated budget and detailed financing plan (If the budget is presented in another format)
  • The bylaws of the organization (if an organization submits the request)
  • Any other indications or details about the project may be provided (for example: the organization’s financial account and balance sheet)
