The solar eclipse at the Martissant Park

At the Martissant Park, around twenty children and older persons were able to observe the partial solar eclipse, on August 21, 2017, thanks to special glasses, under the supervision of the Park’s staff.

The Citizenship project in Martissant, funded by the American Red Cross, brought together children and teenagers at the Park to observe the eclipse. After having been briefed on the phenomenon and on the use of special glasses, they could observe the phenomenon between 2h and 4h 40 pm from the park.

Park employees also joined the latter for this moment of discovery. The experience was very interesting and convivial, although the overcast sky limited observation time.
